How would being seen and acknowledged for who you are change your life?
You were born in the States to some hard-ass Asian parents. The kind that emigrated from Asia. They definitely had certain ideas for who you were to become and how. Their expectations don’t come with much wiggle room either.
I’m a Filipino life coach. I help you develop strategies for dealing with hard-ass Asian parenting, whether you’re going through it right now or recovering from it. My specialty is seeing you for who you are. It involves soul tending and creating a space for you to be acknowledged in ways that Asian hard-assness doesn’t often allow.
As a Filipino life coach, I’m familiar with what you’re going through. You know all about the demands to be Perfect. Strong. Composed. Exceptional. Perform under immense pressure. Meet expectations. Our work together is about turning inward.
You have depth beyond that rigid mold that longs to be expressed and deserves to be acknowledged. You don’t have to leave the parts of yourself at the door that don’t fit into it. You get to bring all that goodness in with you.
Whether our work together looks like:
- Developing a plan to deal with the pressure to succeed that’s custom tailored to you
- Setting your good enough and success meters to your own measures
- Honoring your unique talents and doing what you love even though it’s not as “respectable” as being a doctor, lawyer, nurse, or engineer; or
- Winning the championship wrestling match against the shame, saving face, and perfectionist gremlins you face when you think of pursing your dreams
It integrates the parts of your Self that get left at the door. We weave in those important parts so your kabuuan – your wholeness, totality – is a full expression of who you are.
